AQUARIUM IN CATTOLICA
The largest aquarium on Adriatic coast awaits you with over 100 display tanks and 2,500,000 liters of sea water containing 3000 specimens of 400 different species. The four paths of the Aquarium of Cattolica, will take you on a sea full of color and fun: clown fish, turtles, jellyfish, chameleons, frogs, penguins and big bull sharks will help you to know the sea and love him.

NEW in SUMMER 2010: THE PENGUINS
The new tub of penguins in the blue path, meets the mission of the Aquarium in Cattolica: to sensitize and educate the general public to conservation, management and responsible use of aquatic environments through knowledge and the deepening of animal species and their habitats. In line with the mission, the big penguin tank offers the opportunity to reflect on this birds protection theme. This Aquarium is committed to making people aware of the responsibility towards the environment. The strong environment degradation, the limited abundance of fish water, drastic climate change... threaten the natural habitat of these penguins. This new exhibit becomes an important possibility to all students, families, children to know new issues that feeds into responsability sense and respect to our planet. |
